It's time to take a stand against the underhanded business tactics of Regal Cinemas, who have chosen to exclude the highly anticipated film THE ODYSSEY 70mm IMAX from their Regal Unlimited program. 

The Surcharge Precedent: Regal’s own terms state that premium formats (IMAX®, RPX®, 3D) are accessible simply by paying a designated "format surcharge." Subscribers have a contractually backed expectation that any film is eligible under the program, provided they pay the difference for the format.

The Breach of Trust: By completely blocking THE ODYSSEY 70mm IMAX rather than applying the standard surcharge, Regal has manufactured an arbitrary tier of exclusion that violates the very spirit of the "Unlimited" trademark.

The Fine Print Fallacy: While Regal's boilerplate text allows them to limit eligible movies, using hidden loopholes to strip away the exact blockbuster content driving subscriptions creates a precarious precedent. A service should not market itself as "Unlimited" while executing a bait-and-switch that frustrates the primary purpose of the consumer's agreement.

For Regal to strategically sideline this film from their Unlimited offering is a clear attempt to force additional revenue at the expense of their most loyal customers (Regal Unlimited Subscribers).

This exclusion tarnishes the reputation of Regal Cinemas as a brand that claims to champion movie accessibility. 

We urge Regal Cinemas to reconsider their decision and add THE ODYSSEY 70mm IMAX and all other IMAX releases to the Unlimited program benefits. Doing so reaffirms their dedication to providing comprehensive access to a broad spectrum of cinematic experiences to their loyal audience.
