Pine martens captured in Scotland are being released in South West England in a misguided effort to ‘re’-introduce them to the area. I know for a fact that pine martens have been present in the south west for many years, as in 2018 I saw one at Longleat Center Parcs.

Hence this whole operation is in fact entirely unnecessary, and a waste of pine martens that have been taken from their original home in Scotland.

This travesty must be stopped and the pine martens returned to her home in Scotland, thus protecting the already present South West England pine martens.
