Growing up as a farmer's son, I've intimately understood the profound struggles faced by those whose lives are intertwined with the land. The proposed township in Bidadi threatens not only the livelihood of these dedicated farmers but also the overall well-being of countless residents in the area.

Constructing a township might seem appealing on the surface but dig deeper, and you'll see the repercussions it holds. If we proceed with this development, it will displace thousands of residents—people who have lived harmoniously with nature, depending on the resources that the land provides. Moreover, even now, the townships face challenges in meeting basic needs like clean water, reliable road infrastructure, and stable power supply. How can we justify expanding infrastructure when the existing facilities are crumbling under inadequate resources?

The continued development also brings a concerning environmental impact. The rapid urbanization leaves little room for agriculture and green spaces—spaces that are vital for sustaining the ecological balance. Trees, which take years to grow and nurture, would be felled. This not only affects the environment but also leads to a loss of biodiversity, further impacting the delicate ecosystem. Planting more trees is crucial; however, townships seem to leave little room for such vital green growth.

I urge the local government, planners, and developers to reconsider this expansion until a thorough assessment of its effects on the community and environment is conducted. We must find a balance between development and preserving our natural resources, valuing both agricultural heritage and urban advancement intelligently.
