STOP the Proposed Regionalization Plan by NYSED

The Issue

I, like many others, find myself seriously concerned with the NYSED's ongoing regionalization plan. This plan, misleadingly framed as a reaction to an educational "emergency", will do more harm than good. Consolidating or ruling over school districts will negatively impact students, tax payers, and home values throughout New York State.

This unwarranted action is jeopardizing the stability and integrity of our education system, threatening individualized attention in schools and inflating the already taxing school funding burdens we bear. The narrative of an education 'emergency' is ungrounded, suggesting that our system is in functionality crisis. When, in fact, according to Education Week's Quality Counts report, New York state's education system ranks among the Top 10 nationwide.

This plan is being pushed by unelected bureaucrats who are trying to push through an agenda that is not based on facts. Let's stand against the NYSED's regionalization plan which is inherently undermining the welfare of our community. Sign this petition to say: Our students, our homes, and our state deserve better.
