I am a resident in Montgomery, NY where I live peacefully and quietly just like the many other residents of Montgomery.. that is until the town started approving numerous buildings, warehouses, and a tourist attraction all through out town. 

Currently, the town is supposedly pushing through a 100+ acre property to be utilized for a DINOSAUR PARK that will be open on weekends from April - October from 10 AM through 10 PM (Sunday closing at 8 PM). There is also mention that they will be doing construction on 17k to widen the road to accommodate visitors turning into the park. The traffic, the noise, the wildlife, and the influx of visitors in our small town are just some of the many reasons this project should be shut down. 

Our quaint and quiet town is on the brink of drastic disruption as if we weren’t headed in that direction already. With roads that already strained with the current traffic, the influx of cars this park will bring is unbearable. For the past couple of years, our community has already undergone enough construction projects. We don't need more; we don't need a dinosaur park.

It's essential to understand that the urban fabric of a small township like Montgomery is knit tight, with small roads that simply cannot withstand the estimated hordes of tourists this park will attract. Imagine the additional vehicles on our limited roads mixed with the loads of trucks coming in and out of the multiple warehouses now in our area. Let's work to ensure our town can breathe and retain its character, without succumbing to unnecessary commercialization.

Let's invest in uplifting our town to better accommodate our residents, not push them out of somewhere they once loved living. There are numerous alternatives to enrich Montgomery without wreaking havoc on its identity.

On top of all of this, do we know how much the wild life would suffer? This town used to be surrounded by serene landscaping now it’s becoming miles and miles of warehouses and soon to be tourist attractions that not only are the residents suffering from but so is the wildlife.
