Stop the proposed data center near Cedar Creek Lake

The Issue

Please note that the donations go to CHANGE.ORG and not us! We are working to figure out about donations.  We are fighting deep pockets. We will update once created!
We love Cedar Creek.  The stars at night.  The sounds of nature. It’s a place many of us chose to be able to get away from the hustle and hum of the city.  This is why we chose Cedar Creek Lake. Here, we bought here because we wanted a quiet place not only for us, but a place where we can leave a  legacy—a place where families, retirees, local communities, and small businesses coexist with nature, recreation, and the beauty that is Cedar Creek Lake.

There is a threat to this peaceful country lake life. A proposed large-scale data center development would inevitable bring traffic and noise pollution, light pollution, and possibly use more of our already low levels of water.  The construction and operation of such a facility would affect  the country essence and dark skies we enjoy. Cedar Creek Lake isn't just another spot on the map; it's our home, our retirement, our peaceful get away. It provides drinking water resources, wildlife, and a lake lifestyle we love.

The data center's anticipated demand for large quantities of water poses a threat to our precious lake levels, potentially disrupting the ecosystem and compromising local wildlife habitats. Our property values are directly linked to the lake and will face potential depreciation.

This is not just about opposing a development. It is about demanding responsible planning that considers alternative locations—Texas is vast, with hundreds of thousands of acres of undeveloped land where such developments can be built without negatively affecting residential or ecologically sensitive areas.

Join us in our fight to preserve the essence of Cedar Creek Lake. Let's protect our water, our environment, our property values, and our quality of life. We urge you to sign this petition and send a powerful message to stakeholders, urging them to reconsider and choose a more suitable location for the data center. Stand with us to ensure the generational legacy of Cedar Creek Lake endures.
