I was recently appalled to discover the existence of greeting cards that feature Donald Trump swearing. As someone who believes in respect and decorum, I find it shocking that such cards are being produced and sold. It is hard to understand why the figure of a President, even a past one, would be depicted in such a disrespectful manner. The President of the United States has long been a symbol of dignity and leadership, and there is no room for profanity in that image.

Greeting cards are supposed to be expressions of joy, celebration, and the best wishes one could offer to their loved ones and acquaintances. Swearing does not belong in this context, especially when it involves a figure of historical significance. It tarnishes the reputation not just of the individual subjected to this portrayal but also of the institutions they represent.

These cards are not only distasteful but also mislead people into believing something false about a person who has held a high office. There is no evidence to support that Donald Trump, as President of the United States, publicly engaged in swearing. This kind of misrepresentation through media such as greeting cards is harmful and creates unnecessary controversy.

We urge those involved in the production and distribution of these cards to reconsider their approach and stop further production. By doing so, they would not only preserve the respect due to any President, past or present, but also maintain the integrity and tradition of greeting cards.
