Petition to Separate Residential Power Lines from Amazon Facility – Virlilia Road and Surrounding Areas

To: Entergy Corporation, Local Government Officials, and Relevant Utility Oversight Boards

We, the undersigned residents of Virlilia Road and Surrounding Areas, respectfully request immediate action to separate our residential power lines from those serving the nearby Amazon facility located adjacent to our community.

Our neighborhood has experienced frequent and repeated power outages, which we believe are directly tied to the operational demands and infrastructure shared with the Amazon plant. These outages disrupt our daily lives, damage home appliances, affect residents who rely on medical equipment, and create unsafe conditions for families, seniors, and children—all while Amazon’s operations appear unaffected.

Amazon is a large-scale industrial facility with unique and high-volume power needs. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for residential homes to share infrastructure with such an operation, especially when it causes ongoing and unpredictable service interruptions.

We are not asking for special treatment—we are asking for fair, reliable, and consistent access to electricity without being affected by the power demands of a billion-dollar corporation. We are asking Entergy and the appropriate agencies to do what is right for the residents who depend on your service every day.

We formally request:

A full investigation into the cause of frequent outages in our neighborhood.
Immediate steps to separate residential power lines from the Amazon facility.
A transparent timeline and public updates regarding any planned infrastructure improvements.
Our community deserves better. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned Residents of Virlilia Road and Surrounding Areas
