My kids, like many others in our community, eagerly anticipate the joy of swimming each summer. The Village pool is not just a place to cool off during the hot months; it’s a hub for community interaction and childhood memories. Unfortunately, this cherished local asset is under threat of closure. 

The impact goes beyond my family’s personal loss. The Village pool serves as an essential recreational facility for all residents of Foxfire. It provides us with a safe and convenient location to exercise and socialize while promoting physical health and well-being among our youth. 

Closing down this pool would deprive our community members access to such benefits. It would also take away an important gathering place that fosters camaraderie among neighbors and friends. 

We urge the vocal Village Council to reconsider their potential decision to shut down our beloved Village pool. Let us preserve this vital piece of our community fabric for current residents and future generations alike.
