Tell the Marlborough Township Supervisors to vote no to the Expansion of the Perkiomenville Quarry.

The Perkiomenville Quarry has plagued the residents of Marlborough Township for years. Highway Materials is currently pushing an ordinance that will continue this nuisance indefinitely.

- They have been slowing buying up residential properties and are looking to expand the Heavy Industrial Zoning Area pushing further into the residential area.

- The ordinance will allow reclamation fill to be brought in which potentially contains contaminants like VOCs, sVOCs, PCBs, Heavy Metals, and Asbestos.

-The ordinance allows for operating hours 6 days a week 12 hours a day (7am-7pm) in a residential area. Currently truck traffic averages 1 truck every 3 minutes during operation.

-The ordinance allows for 75 days of night runs per year. The only break from the truck traffic is from 6am-6pm on Sunday.

-It will take 40 to 50 years to complete the reclamation process at which time the property could be repurposed for unlimited industrial use including tank farms, junk yards, commercial cannabis grows, and "adult uses".
