Stop the Overreach
The Issue
🚨 THE “MASTER PLAN” NO ONE TOLD YOU ABOUT 🚨
(And Why It’s Coming For Your Yard, Your Wildlife, & Your Peace.)
No property owner should have their land infringed upon to benefit another's development project.
The proposal in question would allow a developer to dig up and run utility lines through a resident's private yard solely because it is the most convenient or cheapest path for the new construction. This sets a dangerous precedent.
If this permit is granted, it declares that:
Your property line is not truly yours if someone else needs it.
A municipal department's vote can supersede your right to peaceful enjoyment of your land.
The interests of new development outweigh the rights of existing residents.
This is not about being anti-growth. It is about being pro-fairness and pro-law. Access for development must be achieved within the boundaries of the property being developed, or through public right-of-ways—not by commandeering a neighbor's private land.
We Stand in Solidarity with the Affected Property Owners and Call on the Town of Geneva to:
IMMEDIATELY DENY the current request to excavate private property for utility access to the new development.
AFFIRM in policy that the Town will not use its authority to facilitate the taking or use of one private citizen's land for the exclusive benefit of another.
REQUIRE that all future developments secure all necessary access and easements from willing property owners or through existing public infrastructure before permits are issued.
By signing, you defend a principle that protects every homeowner, now and in the future: Your property is your own.
