Stop the Overdevelopment of 214 Colony Blvd in Georgetown, KY

Stop the Overdevelopment of 214 Colony Blvd in Georgetown, KY
The Issue
We, the undersigned residents and community members of Georgetown, Kentucky, strongly reject the proposed development of approximately 10 townhomes at 214 Colony Blvd.
This project is ill-advised due to the poor location and the small size of the 1.87-acre parcel. Such a dense development is incompatible with the surrounding established single-family neighborhood.
Our concerns include:
- Increased traffic and congestion on local roads that are not designed to handle it
- Strain on essential infrastructure and emergency services
- Negative impact on neighborhood character due to excessive density
- Potential decline in property values and financial burdens on current residents
- Loss of green space and disruption of local wildlife habitat
- We are not opposed to growth or development in Georgetown, but this particular project does not fit the community’s needs or context.
We urge the Georgetown–Scott County Planning Commission to:
- Reject this development proposal
- Prioritize thoughtful, sustainable growth that protects the quality of life and environment of existing neighborhoods
Please sign and share this petition to stand with us in opposing this ill-advised townhome project.
