There is a proposal for a new gas station/convenience store to be built on the corner of Route 209 and Mettacahonts, in-between Rochester Church and Skate Time. This is a concern for many reasons (environmental, traffic safety, local business). We already have five gas stations which are more than sufficient to meet current demand. 

This petition is meant to pressure the Town Board to take action and amend the zoning code to ban new gas stations within the town limits. The next Town Board meeting is Wed, Oct 23 so the goal is to collect as many signatures as possible to show our opposition. Please sign and share.
