Stop the mishandling of evidence in the Dolly Madison Bakery Murders.

The Issue

On September 4, 2002, at approximately 7:55PM, Great Bend Police Department responded to a call at Dolly Madison Bakery, 1004 Harrison, Great Bend, Ks. Upon arrival, it was determined that there were two females dead inside the business. A witness described seeing a white male, approximately 6'1"-6'2", weighing 175 lbs, having collar length light brown to blond hair, and a slight beard, walking away from the front door of the bakery. These women were murdered with a knife in the most horrific way possible. Police at the time had let many persons contaminate the crime scene & did not interview persons who had stated they had been at the bakery sometime earlier. 20 years later KBI states they now have male DNA left behind on one of the victims. However, they state utilizing familial DNA is not an option. Family member Deriree Werth has fought for justice for her sister Mandi Alexander for over 20 years. Agents are poor to communicate & Desiree even called them at on their poor investigation at a press conference. We believe this investigation could be closed much sooner with the FBI assistance & reviewing materials. As well as reviewing possible mishandling of evidence & inappropriate behavior on behalf of law enforcement. They have the DNA if they wait much longer the killer could die of old age before he’s ever caught. Or he could still be out there hurting others. Please help sign our petition so that we can present to the KBI & FBI to let them know we want justice for Mandi Alexander and Mary Drake.
