Timbarra P-9 College has announced a policy that makes high school students have to go wait outside for each class to start. Their reasoning for this is completely idiotic. At Timbarra, most students are very punctual, while few are late, many get there on time before their teacher, making the teacher tardy if anything. This is one of the reasons put forward by teachers alongside the fact that some kids use their computers before there teacher gets there get there. This just shows the school has no common sense or knowledge on how how kids feel about this. We do not want this policy stopped simply because we want to mess around before the teacher gets to class, but because it disrupts us and is completely ridiculous.

For example, instead of just going from one room to the one next door, we will need to go around the entire building to our next classes designated lineup point, wasting more of the student's time. This is a complete and utter disruption to our learning flow. Walking outside to our next class could pose a danger to our equipment due to rain or wind. And this will just make tardiness more common and students dirtier from having to walk in the muddy grass.

A much better solution to this is a rule where students cannot use computers before teachers arrive and say that they can. Restrictions on what students can and can't do before class starts doesn't have to be taken this far.

This must be stopped immediately before it becomes a official policy. Our plan is to achieve 140 signatures, which will be around 3/4 of the school then confront the principal and head of secondary about this before or hopefully not after this policy takes effect.
