Stop the Launch of "Puppies Yoga" in Dublin

The Issue

This is the response today from the secretary of Minister Charlie McConalogue on Puppys Yoga

"I would like to thank you for your further correspondence to Charlie McConalogue T.D., Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine regarding Puppy Yoga Dublin.

The Department is not in a position to provide information on matters which may be the subject of investigation to third parties.

Yours sincerely"

I am deeply concerned about the launch of "Puppies Yoga" in Dublin. This issue strikes a chord with me because from what we have read about in Italy and the UK it seems that perhaps these puppies are not being treated well. Our pounds, rescuesand shelters are already over run with unwanted and abandoned dogs. These puppies are living beings, not toys or fitness accessories!! The concept of using puppies for yoga classes is not only disturbing but also raises serious ethical questions about animal welfare.

In recent years, there has been an alarming increase in businesses exploiting animals for profit worldwide. According to the Animal Welfare Institute, countless animals suffer from poor living conditions and stress due to commercial exploitation (AWI, 2020). In this case, the puppies involved may face physical strain and psychological distress due to constant handling by different people.

We must remember that dogs have specific needs that should be met for their overall wellbeing. Puppies and dogs require a safe environment, proper nutrition and regular veterinary care.

The launch of "Puppies Yoga" in Dublin sets a dangerous precedent that could lead to further exploitation of animals under the guise of wellness activities. We cannot stand by while these innocent creatures are used as props for human entertainment.

It's time we raise our voices against such practices and advocate for better treatment of animals. Let's stop "Puppies Yoga" from launching in Dublin and set an example that animal welfare should never be compromised for business interests or novelty experiences.

Please sign this petition if you believe in protecting these innocent puppies from unnecessary stress and exploitation.
