Stop the Killing of Nepal’s Children – UN Must Act Now
The issue
Petition to: United Nations Human Rights Council, OHCHR, IHRC, UNICEF, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Global Media
✊ Stop the Killing of Nepal’s Children
In Nepal, police forces have opened fire on unarmed students in school uniforms, killing at least 16 young people from Generation Z so far. These were children and youth peacefully raising their voices for justice , corruption, free speech and instead, they were silenced with bullets.
This is not just a tragedy for Nepal, it is a global human rights crisis.
🚨 Why this matters
The killings directly violate international human rights agreements Nepal is bound to:
Right to Life (UNCRC Article 6, ICCPR Article 6)
Protection from Violence (UNCRC Article 19)
Special Protection for Children (ICCPR Article 24, UNCRC Article 37)
Targeting students — in school uniforms, unarmed, and voiceless — is an unforgivable violation of children’s rights and dignity.
📢 What we are demanding
We call on the United Nations and the international community to:
- Launch an urgent investigation into the unlawful killings of students in Nepal.
- Hold accountable those responsible for ordering and executing these acts.
- Deploy international monitoring mechanisms in Nepal to prevent further violence.
- Mobilize diplomatic pressure to stop the use of live ammunition against peaceful youth demonstrators.
🕊️ Why your signature matters
Every voice counts. By signing this petition, you join a global movement demanding justice for Nepal’s children and accountability from those in power.
Together, we can put international pressure on Nepal’s government to stop the violence, protect its children, and uphold human dignity.
