We the residents of ballybane and surrounding areas are extremely concerned with regards to the 150 undocumented,migrants males taking up residence in a building across from our local library , beside the John paul centre that houses very vulnerable disabled young adults also a day hospital for mental health patients and crèches close by .The building next to it has  lots of young female students renting whom are also extremely worried regarding their safety coming home late after a night out .

These people are the most vulnerable  of our society……

whose going to protect them ..,,

We are a socia economic area who have dealt with all sorts of anti social behaviour over the years and strive as a community to keep the area safe for our children,grandchildren and the elderly . The safety of all these residents, particularly the above mentioned using these services will be compromised with the housing of these undocumented migrant men In the current proposed location.. It is in the middle of a residential area with bus stops close by where young children, families and the elderly coming home from the city centre or school use .we also have a college where young students study and reside close by .Their parents want them safe …..Unfortunately their has been many crimes committed against woman and children from unvetted  migrant males .

Alongside a request for an injunction which the community has lodged in court ,it is imperative that local people sign this petition and stand alongside their neighbours who are fighting for a better future for everyone who lives on the east side of the city . …        Without your support people in particular woman and children will not feel safe walking around ballybane in the future …,

Everyone has a right to feel safe in their own home and area ….Now is the time to have your voice heard ……
