These horses ancestors served us in WW1 and WW2. They are part of a cultural heritage and need to be protected by us Australians as they proctected us for many years! The management plan the government is considering is absolutely barbaric and in-humane!! Why can the brumbies not be managed by the locals as it has been done for 150 years. Sure there are claims that this is no longer working but with more people on their side it has the potential to work again! These horses never chose to be wild and unloved, they never chose to be perceived as animals that only ruin the land on which they live. They didn't chose to be culled! They have no say and that is why we have to step up and do something! Horses make family's within their herds and have emotions just like us humans do. Would you agree to half of your family being culled to reduce population on earth just to keep some free land about. The land is here to be used, in whatever way that is, it should be respected! The brumbies of the Snowy Mountains have as much right to reside on that land as we have a right to reside on the land we are currently standing on!
