We, the residents and supporters of Tyrone, Georgia, firmly oppose the impending construction of a large scale data center in our community. This project poses serious and unacceptable risks to our quality of life, environment, infrastructure  and character of our town.

Data centers are harmful. They consume enormous amounts of electricity and water, operate around the clock generating noise and heat, and bring heavy industrial traffic into areas that were never meant to support it. Once built, they are nearly impossible to remove.

The people of Tyrone deserve better than to have an industrial facility forced into our backyard with little transparency or public input.

We demand that Tyrone and Fayette County officials:
1. Immediately pause any permits or approvals related to this project
2. Hold open public hearings where residents can voice their concerns
3. Commission an independent environmental and infrastructure impact assessment
4. Reject any development that does not reflect the values and long-term interests of Tyrone residents. This is our town!

We call on the Tyrone Town Council and Fayette County officials to halt  this project, conduct a full health,  environmental and community impact study, and explore development alternatives that align with the vision residents have for our town.
