To the Residents and Neighbors of Glendora,

We urge you to join us in signing this petition addressed to the Glendora City Council. Together, we can express our strong opposition to their plans for a homeless shelter at 1762 Dale Road. The proposed project aims to construct a multi-unit homeless shelter on the 2.17-acre facility located in the heart of Glendora's residential area. The city has justified this development under the banner of "affordable housing," though it also intends to include an undisclosed portion for a homeless shelter. Notably, the city has already completed the purchase of this property.

While the city did host a community meeting to discuss the project, it is evident that this plan may not represent the most effective solution to address the homelessness issue in Glendora. It is lacking in supporting data and a comprehensive feasibility study. Equally concerning, this plan was formulated without truly hearing the voices of our community residents and those who actively contribute to our community.

We implore you to join this petition and unite to halt the Homeless Shelter Project before it becomes an irreversible reality.
