STOP THE GREED, SUPPORT A UNITED ISPON

The Issue

  1. Many Nigerians have been dying and great numbers injured from workplace incidents across the country day in day out.
  2. The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, set up to enhance workplace Safety by collaborating with relevant agencies of Government to regulate the practice of safety Management in Nigeria has been under siege since 2016
  3. I agree with the National Assembly Committee on Safety Standards and Regulations on the need to save Nigerians by revamping her Safety Professionals body, the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria which was set up by Act No. 2 of 2014.
  4. Based on this, the Committee has set up a CTC and has called the warring groups to commence a unification process, this is going on very well, except that for personal, rather than group objectives, a dissenting voice is emerging.
  5. Any move against this process is a move against ISPON and Nigerians
  6. I therefore, undertake to stand by the decision of the house committee towards this unification in support of the broader goals of the profession and humanity. The group rather than individual gains must remain supreme.
  7. It is on the above premise that I sign this petition.
