We, as the concerned citizens of the Talbott-Kansas Community, along with our surrounding neighbors are petitioning against the purchase of the Charles Kinley Farm off Talbott-Kansas and Tilley Road in Talbott, TN, to be used as the future site of an extension of the Enbridge/East Tennessee Natural Gas, LLC. This farm is currently being looked at by  Enbridge to purchase as the future home of a natural gas compression station. Land that will be purchased that is not necessary to house the compression station could be subleased to other industrial/commercial entities. Our area is a quiet residential area with minimal noise and light pollution. We do not want commercial or industrial property in our area that will change this. Our petition is that Enbridge would look elsewhere for property that is already zoned for commercial and/or industrial use.
