Stop the Fraud: Restore Hon. Barr. Ankot Cobham as the NDC Candidate for Calabar Municipal

We, the concerned members and voters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency, are launching this petition to protest the illegal, backdoor substitution of our authentically elected primary winner, Hon. Barr. Ankot Cobham.
In a democratic primary election, the members spoke clearly on the field. Yet, corrupt actors have clandestinely altered the national collation sheet in Abuja, replacing the actual winner with an aspirant who secured almost zero support.
The Facts
The actual, documented results from the two Local Government Areas (LGAs) are as follows:
Hon. Barr. Ankot Cobham: 354 votes (Duly Elected Winner)
Hon. Christopher Ekpo: 3 votes
Mr. Clement Ene: 1 vote
Mr. Edim Edim: 1 vote

Despite winning just three votes, Hon. Ekpo Christopher Edet’s name was fraudulently smuggled onto the official list sent to the National Secretariat. Video evidence of the actual field count and declaration is available online and completely indisputable.
Why This Matters
This is a blatant case of anti-party sabotage. Credible intelligence reveals this manipulation is being heavily funded by external opposition forces aimed at destabilizing the NDC. They know Barr. Ankot Cobham is a formidable candidate who would win the general election by a landslide. By forcing an unpopular, manufactured candidate on us, they hope to trigger voter apathy and steal an easy victory.
We will not fold our arms and watch our sacred mandate be sold on the altar of backroom politics.
Our Demands
We respectfully but firmly demand that the National Leadership of the NDC:
Immediate Reversal: Discard the fraudulent list circulating, reject the smuggled result sheets, and restore Hon. Barr. Ankot Cobham to the official candidate list.
Respect the Voters: Honor the 354 votes cast by registered party members on the ground.
A Solemn Warning
If this electoral fraud is allowed to stand, it will completely destroy confidence in the party structure across Cross River State. We will not campaign for, support, or vote for a manufactured candidate.
We urgently call upon national leaders to intervene, uphold justice, and protect the sanctity of the people’s mandate.
