Thank you for 500 signatures!

As expected, the Environmental Planning Commission recommended the Upzoning proposals.  With even one commissioner saying they want developers to do what they want, before further removing additional protections for historic places.  The commission didn’t even entertain comments due to the embarrassment of their pet organization (StrongTowns) being drastically outnumbered by everyday citizens with our petition.

StrongTowns, with their board members on social media like [REDACTED], will call this a victory despite our petition outnumbering them in the comment process by nearly 3 to 1.

Our voices are being deliberately ignored.

The next steps are that this will go before the Land Use Planning and Zoning Committee at least one time in the New Year.  Then it will go to a full City Council Vote.

We need to show up in numbers that they can’t ignore.

Please continue to share this petition with your friends and family that live in Albuquerque.  Let’s reach for 1,000 or even 2,000 signatures.

Let’s demonstrate to our elected officials what happens when people stand up together for their city!

Thank you!
