Dear Baldwin Hills Residents,

We hope this letter finds you well. We are reaching out to you today to bring your attention to a critical issue affecting hundreds of residents in our community – the impending elimination of undesignated grass parking areas at Jim Gilliam Park  that many rely on for their vehicles.

The city's decision to eliminate these parking spaces has raised significant concerns among our fellow residents. These undesignated parking areas have served as a vital resource for those who cannot afford more expensive parking options, providing a practical and accessible solution to their daily parking needs.

The root of this problem lies in the poor infrastructure that does not support the growing population of our neighborhood. Despite this challenge, the city has yet to propose a viable solution. To address this concern, we have initiated a petition urging the City Council to reconsider their decision to eliminate the spaces being used around Jim Gilliam Park and instead invest in long-term parking infrastructure improvements to accommodate our expanding community.
