Why the dress code must stop and why:

• They sexualize and objectify young bodies (usually girls)
• They promote rape culture/stigma commonly called victim blaming: Blaming the victim of a rape because of their clothing 
• They cause youth to feel ashamed of their bodies, including that fact that not all clothes perfectly fit people with different dimensions like height and weight 
• They are outdated and discriminatory  especially to girls and non-white races 
• The clothing industry only makes what will sell-meaning they only make the clothes they now the youth will buy this typical fashion breaks the dress code but is out of the youths hands 
• Not every student has the time and or financial capability to  buy a new wardrobe
• Last but certainly not least they are useless, if others body parts distract you from learning YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! Not their shoulders, stomachs, or boobs! YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! 
• If this petition gets enough signatures we can have the dress code ended and finally have the freedom to choose what we wear!
