Stop the DOJ from Targeting Harvard Law Review for Political Gain

Stop the DOJ from Targeting Harvard Law Review for Political Gain
The Issue
The U.S. Department of Justice just crossed a dangerous line.
In a stunning revelation, the DOJ accused the Harvard Law Review—a student-run academic journal—of discriminating against white men, destroying evidence, and interfering with an investigation. But here’s what they didn’t make public: their “cooperating witness” inside the journal now works under Stephen Miller at the White House. Yes, that Stephen Miller—the architect of some of the most extreme policies in recent history.
All of this unfolded in a series of letters that used aggressive, exaggerated language to pressure Harvard into compliance. Within ten days, the Law Review, fearing escalation, gave in to some of the DOJ’s demands. The message was clear: if you don’t align with this administration’s agenda, they’ll find a way to make you pay.
This isn’t about justice. It’s about using the Justice Department to punish political enemies.
Academic institutions must be free to operate without government intimidation. And federal agencies should never be used as political weapons against students or scholars. This is a direct threat to academic freedom, due process, and the rule of law.
We’re calling on Congress, legal watchdogs, and the public to take immediate action. Investigate this abuse of power. Protect our universities from political interference. And make sure no administration—Democrat or Republican—can twist federal power to serve its own ideology.
This isn’t just a Harvard problem. This is a democracy problem.
Add your name if you believe the Justice Department should serve justice—not politics.
