County Friends and Neighbours!
It’s wonderful to see so many coming together to preserve our Prince Edward County culture and environment (195 signatures so far!). Now that you’ve signed the Petition, there is another opportunity to help:
Please sign-up to speak directly to Council:
On December 19, County Council will vote whether to send the TRAE Resort proposal back to Planning Staff- essentially reconsidering TRAE after already having previously voted to reject the proposal just 2 weeks ago at Planning Committee! Come to Council Meeting and show the strength of your convictions.
To sign-up for a 10 minute ‘deputation’ slot (virtual or in person), email our County Clerk, Catalina Blumenberg: cblumenberg@pecounty.on.ca by TOMORROW, DECEMBER 13th. You will need to submit the basic text of your deputation.
To speak for a 3-minute slot, just contact the Clerk cblumenberg@pecounty.on.ca by December 19 at 12pm and let her know you wish to speak.
Why should you care? It’s simple, really: you moved to North Marysburgh or elsewhere in the County for the rural and agricultural landscape and for the feeling of community.
TRAE, advanced by a group of Toronto investors, proposes to destroy the reason you live in PEC.
We believe that Council works for us. That our voice must be acted on by our elected officials. And that we, better than any Toronto developer, know what is in the best interests of our community.
TRAE? NO WAY! Come to Council, have your say!
