I am a resident of West University and I am frustrated and worried by the ongoing daily power outages that have plagued our community. These power cut incidents have increased in frequency, with multiple daily outages, causing not only immense inconvenience but also significant damage to our homes and electrical systems. In my home alone, our Control4 system has been severely affected by these power interruptions, leading to thousands of dollars in repair and labor costs. This is a financial burden and an ongoing concern that many of us in the community share.

Over the past six months, I've heard countless complaints from neighbors and fellow residents who are experiencing similar issues. Appliances, electrical systems, and even basic necessities like lights are being damaged due to these outages. It's time for us to acknowledge the impact and demand a solution.

Persistent power outages not only disrupt our daily lives but also pose potential safety hazards. For families with young children, elderly members, or individuals who depend on medical equipment powered by electricity, these outages can be especially dangerous. Furthermore, the negative effects on local businesses cannot be overlooked. Businesses are suffering losses due to interrupted operations, which can stifle our local economy and deter potential new enterprises from investing in our community.

We need a timely and effective solution from the utility company responsible for our area. West U government, it's time to take immediate action to upgrade and stabilize the electrical infrastructure in West University. We urge you and Centerpoint to conduct thorough investigations into the causes of these frequent outages and implement solutions that prevent future occurrences.

Ensuring reliable electricity should be a priority for the well-being and prosperity of our community. We count on the West U appointed leaders and Centerpoint to hold themselves accountable and to communicate transparently with residents regarding current progress and future plans.
