Stop The Construction of Warehouse and storage facility Fort Plains Road And Rt 9 Howell

The Issue

As residents of Howell, NJ, living along Fort Plains Road, we face an imminent threat to our peaceful neighborhood. Fort Plains Partners LLC have made a proposal that deeply distresses us. They intend to build a warehouse and storage facility along Rt 9 and backing up to Fort Plains Road. In addition to this, Schure’s Acres Bungalows, integral to Howells history, are slated for demolition farther north of the property.

There is a storage facility at almost every traffic light between Three Brooks Road in Freehold to Howell at Sunnyside Road On Rt 9

Fort Plains Partners LLC is a company that has proposed a commercial development on a 34-acre parcel in Howell, New Jersey. The development would include warehouses, a self-storage building, and the demolition of some homes.
Proposal
The development would include two warehouses, a self-storage building, and the demolition of some homes.
The warehouses would be about 130,000 square feet, and the self-storage building would be about 150,000 square feet.
The development would be located on Fort Plains Road, across from Toscana.

This industrial development proposal certainly impacts us, but the possible repercussions extend far beyond just human life. Our area is blessed with a vibrant wildlife community, who will lose their homes, disrupting the local ecosystem.

We believe this is not just a matter of unwanted noise and disturbance. It's a potential scar on our town’s history and an unjust eradication of a lively habitat. Studies have shown that such developments can lead to a decrease in biodiversity and increased pollution (Source: National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences).

We contest the decision to ruin the quality of our lives, to dismiss the value of our local history, to disregard the rights of our wildlife. We plead other residents, sympathizers, and conscientious members of the public to stand with us. There is no need for a warehouse and storage facility here. No need to strip us of our tranquility or the wildlife of their homes. No need to demolish the full-of-potential Schure's Acres Bungalows.

Join us in fighting against this development, before it's too late. Please sign this petition to show your support and together, let's work to preserve the integrity of Howell, New Jersey.
