I am writing this petition deeply affected by the plight of our local farmers and the irreparable damage being done to our natural habitat because of the planned construction of the Shakti Peeth Highway. This project directly threatens agriculture, destroys vast forest land, threatens biodiversity, and dislocates countless animals and birds.

India, my homeland, has always been a land of rich biodiversity and cultural heritage, where the farmers toil day and night to produce food that feeds us. However, the proposed plan of the Shakti Peeth Highway spells doom for these diligent farmers, putting pressure on our already strained agricultural sector. Not only will these plans displace numerous farmers, but it will also disrupt our rural economy.

The highway also poses a significant threat to our environment. The destruction of fertile land and forests to pave way for this infrastructure project will only serve to displace thousands of animals and birds. Forests, our line of defence against climate change and global warming, will be decimated, causing irreparable environmental damage.

This fight is greater than just striving to preserve our lands; it is about standing up for the principles of sustainability, ethics, and cognizance of our environment. We cannot allow short-sighted infrastructure projects to devastate our nature and agriculture, the roots from which we have branched out.
