🚨 CRITICAL: Nov. 10 Data Center Meeting & Action Items
Hi, everyone! Important Update: The data center proposal has not been stopped. In the next two weeks, we must TURN UP THE HEAT and continue actively making our voice heard and showing up!
The next big data center-related meeting is the Howell Township Board Meeting on November 10 at 6:30 PM. Please see the below for full details and key action items you can complete before the next meeting.

Key Agenda Item: Moratorium on Data Center Rezoning
This meeting is of great importance as it include a moratorium agenda item. We must show up IN NUMBERS to demand a moratorium be passed by the Township Board! A moratorium will ensure the board and planning commission have time to research, review our current ordinances, and make revisions to protect our community from unregulated data center development.
Between today and the next Township Board meeting on November 10th, we all have to do our part to PUSH HARD - letting the Township Board know prior to the meeting that we are united in our demand for a moratorium.

✅ Mark Your Calendar: Add the November 10 Township Board meeting to your calendar and plan to attend and give a public comment.
✅ Contact the Township Board: This is important! Please call and email the township board to share your request for a moratorium. You can do this at least once per week leading up to the Nov. 10 meeting. We have to push them to pass a moratorium on November 10.

Example: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I'm a resident in [Howell Township/Fowlerville/Handy Township/Etc.]. I'm calling/writing to share my urgent request that the Township Board enact, at minimum, a 6-month moratorium on the review and approval of any data center-related rezoning requests. A moratorium is critical to ensuring our community's safety and it would be irresponsible to move forward without one. I am really concerned about the impact of such a massive project on [public utilities, the environment, pollution, traffic, the lives and health of residents living adjacent to the property]. Please enact a moratorium to protect our community. Thank you for your time!"
