As a local resident, I am deeply concerned about the proposed plan to build a new McDonald's drive-through restaurant on Sutton Fields in Hull, where Buzz Bingo currently stands. This is not just another fast-food outlet; it threatens to displace an important community hub.

Buzz Bingo has been at the heart of our community for many years. It was previously known as Gala and has served as a social meeting place for many local elderly and vulnerable people. The potential loss of this beloved institution would be devastating.

Moreover, while it may seem that building another McDonald's could bring jobs to the area, we must consider the bigger picture. There are already two other McDonald's outlets within five minutes' distance from each other in our locality. Adding another one will only saturate the market and potentially lead to unemployment elsewhere.

We need to prioritize preserving our community spaces over commercial expansion. We need to say NO to this new McDonald’s drive-through restaurant on Sutton Fields.
