Another opinion against adversity scoring, this time from LA Times.  We must not relent until the College Board eliminates adversity scoring.  On one hand they claim that SAT scores are more dependent on family wealth than hard work and talent, and on the other hand they want to continue to profit from millions of SAT takers every year.  To preserve the relevance of SAT, they invented “adversity score.”  They can’t have it both ways.
