Stop the closure of Askew Road Royal Mail Delivery office.

The Issue

Askew Road delivery office is a vital lifeline for people in the Hammersmith and Fulham area. It supports people in  Shepherds Bush, Acton and Fulham. It is a very busy and well used service by local people and serves a large area.

If it is gone then people will have to travel up to 3 miles to get the nearest one. A lot of vulnerable people and older people  access this service as well as local families will find this difficult or even impossible.  It would mean many people will not be able to obtain their post and will have  a detrimental affect on the local community.  As one local people has said if this service closes "I am finished  I won`t be able to cope"

This closure will adversely affect the local community and prevent some people actually being able to access their postal deliveries. And for a sizeable minority it will not be practical or easy  to travel further How does this help Royal Mail from a business perspective if it becomes difficult for people to access their services? It seems ludicrous.

More evidence of Royal Mail being run with poorly run corporate interests and no consideration of the communities they serve

So please support this petition.
