Stop the Cannabis Dispensary from Moving into 820 2nd Ave

Stop the Cannabis Dispensary from Moving into 820 2nd Ave
The Issue
For over 23 years, 820 2nd Ave has been home to Amreen’s Hallmark Shop, a beloved small business, providing our neighborhood with convenience, personal service, and a wide range of last-minute essentials—from greeting cards and gifts to helium balloons, stationery, and office supplies. This location has been a key part of our community, serving families, professionals, and locals alike.
Now, a cannabis dispensary, FlynnStoned Cannabis Company, is attempting to move into this space. This not only threatens the unique character of the neighborhood but also does not add to or enhance our community. There is serious concern that a dispensary of this size is not appropriate or beneficial so close to our daycares, schools, churches, missions, consulates, UNICEF, and the United Nations.
Now is the time to act before the dispensary application is approved. We must come together to protect the character, safety, and integrity of our neighborhood. We urge Community Board 6 (CB6), the Office of Cannabis Management, and District 4-NYC Council Keith Powers to reject the FlynnStoned Cannabis Company application and help preserve the values that make our neighborhood special.
VOICE YOUR CONCERNS HERE: Your input is crucial to showing CB6 that the neighborhood strongly opposes this dispensary, and it's forcing out of a longstanding small business.
