Cadman Park is a cherished part of Bay Ho—home to ball fields, a dog park, a playground, and open space right next to Cadman Elementary. It’s one of the last remaining pockets of green in our community.
Now, that space is at risk.
Help Us Protect Cadman Park
AT&T is proposing to install a 70-foot cell tower disguised as a tree, a 281-square-foot telecom facility, and a diesel generator with a 54-gallon fuel tank—all right next to the playground and ball fields.
- This is not just a visual eyesore—it brings real risks and raises serious environmental and community concerns:
Disruption of natural parkland and mature tree roots due to trenching and construction - Fire hazards linked to onsite fuel storage near dry canyon vegetation
- Visual and noise impacts in a quiet recreational area used daily by children and families - Air quality concerns from diesel emissions during testing and maintenance
- And a permanent industrial structure in a space meant for nature and recreation
We need your help to stop this project. We believe our parks deserve protection, transparency, and thoughtful planning — not shortcuts.
- This project is moving forward with little notice and no public forum
- We’re asking the City of San Diego to slow down and take a hard look at all the impacts.
Sign the petition to tell the City of San Diego: Keep Cadman Park safe, green, and free of industrial development.
