Stop the Brutality: Remove the Bangladesh Army from UN Peacekeeping Missions

The Issue

We, the outraged citizens of Bangladesh, call upon the United Nations and the international community to take immediate action against the Bangladesh Army's participation in UN peacekeeping missions.

Our country is currently in the grip of a dictatorial regime, where the common populace is bravely expressing their dissent through continuous protests. Tragically, this outcry is being met with brutal and unjust violence from the authorities. Reports indicate that over 300 students have been mercilessly shot and killed, with this dreadful number only expected to escalate. Acts of terror include house raids of protestors and indiscriminate shooting from helicopters, all allegedly supported and backed by the military.

These shameful acts are further instigated by puppet military leaders siding with this undemocratic governance. Meanwhile, our salaries and hard-earned money are being exploited to fund these violent operations aimed at silencing our voices.

We demand immediate intervention from international bodies to stop this brutality and hold the guilty accountable. The innocent blood spilt in these unjust killings poses a powerful question - how many more lives will it take before we stop turning a blind eye to this terror?

The lives lost cannot be brought back, but we can ensure their sacrifice was not in vain. Your signature can make a change. Sign this petition to condemn and end this institutionalized violence in Bangladesh and to call for the removal of the Bangladesh Army from UN peacekeeping missions.

We urge the United Nations to:

Reassess and suspend the participation of the Bangladesh Army in UN peacekeeping missions until the violence against peaceful protestors ceases and those responsible are held accountable.
Conduct an independent investigation into the reported human rights violations and brutal killings.
Apply international pressure on the Bangladeshi government to uphold democratic principles and protect the rights of its citizens.
Together, we can make a difference. Stand with the people of Bangladesh and help us end this cycle of violence. Sign this petition and add your voice to the call for justice.
