By signing this petition we are strongly requesting that the USU General Secretary intervene with the Minister of Local Government and the Premier of NSW to advocate to the full extent of his ability to ensure the suspension of the elected Council of Liverpool City Council immediately.

We are concerned and distressed by the damaging and erratic behaviour of the Mayor and his blatant disregard for the Code of Conduct. The Mayor has placed Council in a dire financial position including a budget for electioneering, mayoral involvement in operational matters, mayoral conflicts of interests, bullying of staff and elected officials, drastic understaffing, dire industrial situation, ongoing staff and community safety and security.
