If I were to describe the year 2024 in 1 word I would use the word Bullying. It has been a year of shameless and public online bullying, from February when Globally acclaimed super star Jennifer Lopez released her album “This is me now”, to the Paris Olympic games where Algerian boxer Imani Khalif was ridiculed and called a man, to the merciless ongoing bullying that is being endured by now: Miss universe Nigeria Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina. You might not realize it but the ones paying for this shameless display of bullying are our children. 

Social media can be a beautiful place for free expression, creativity, fun, entertainment it can even be educational. It has been the driving force behind the worlds biggest social correctional movements where people could share the injustices they were experiencing and have the rest of the world hold their hands and fight with them, like the black lives matter movement and more recently the protests against the Palestinian genocide by the hands of Israel.
However it is also a breading ground for rats. People who post content simply to insult, mock and ridicule others. It is  the number #1 Source of misinformation and slander.

We the so-called good citizens are to blame. We enable this injustice by  not acting against the rules that make it impossible for our children to fight back and by participating In the harassment , slander and mockery essentially bullying of public figures or influencers we don't like. Because how then do we turn around and tell our children it is Not OK to harass the pretty girl the smart boy The Super athletic kids When they see us actively participate in the bullying of the rich and famous. 

YouTube, Instagram, Tick, Tock Twitter and Facebook all claim to have an auntie bullying and harassment policy yet this only applies to the responses of people comments. Not the video where bullying and slander was taking place, not to the person commenting in support of the  bulling and slander but against the one who spoke against the bully. 
To make matters worse the social media algorithms actually propel the latest “hate and harassment  trains.” Making money of promoting the Harassment of other human beings. This is unacceptable and all proper upstanding citizens of our beautiful global village must not accept this. Not just to create  safer creative spaces but also to take the first step towards shutting  down bully culture. 

By signing this partition you are demanding for  YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and tick tock To take actual interest in eradicating cyberbullying, harassment, slander and the spread of misinformation .By requesting them to review reported posts when the report is made Even if it is just by one person. Especially those reported by the  subject of the video, For their community guidelines against harassment To apply across the board not just for people commenting on a comment but also for the content posted and  the comments made in regards to the content posted. The reports  should be properly reviewed to avoid innocent people’s accounts from being deleted. Harassment bullying slandering of people including public figures must result in the deletion off that Channel or the cancellation of the responsible account.

We are aware that repulsive creatures who parade as human beings live on this earth and honestly speaking outnumber the good human beings by two thirds, however I believe the good citizens of our global village have more power and can accomplish beautiful things when they stand up and fight together.

This particular YouTuber Maghan Kelly has built her intire 2.33 million following of bullying. She has a whole video where she is bullying and harassing Jennifer Lopez as well. In fact where ever a woman is being kicked you can count on finding Megan Kelly there. This sort of behavior should not be permitted.
