Stop the 96 Decibel Train Horn from Destroying our Small Business in Fort Worth, TX!

Stop the 96 Decibel Train Horn from Destroying our Small Business in Fort Worth, TX!
The Issue
My wife & I are currently building a 12,000 sq ft Creative Community Center and Entrepreneurial Incubator in Hemphill Heights, Fort Worth, Texas. Our business and the other businesses in the 22,000 sq ft complex will bring jobs to dozens of locals, bring coffee and fresh produce to the neighborhood and enrich the community by cultivating strong business owners and giving everyone the space and tools they need to succeed in the local marketplace.
THE PROBLEM:
We currently are in a mixed commercial/residential area that is supposed to be a "Quiet Zone" for trains, which means they cannot sound their horns. They have installed a "Quiet Zone" horn that registers at 80-96 decibels in our building! If you're familiar with noise level, this means our retail shop owners can't have conversations without yelling, our content creators can't create audio/video content, our event attendees, organizers and musical acts have to pause events and people with PTSD and Anxiety are deeply affected. We have also received reports from multiple local residents that have filed complaints, that they are now sounding the horns multiple times after business hours at 10pm and Midnight waking them up. This HAS to stop!
THE SOLUTION:
We are asking that the city and/or railroad step forward to install 2 additional grossing rails at the intersection which would remove the horns and create a TRUE "Quiet Zone." We are aware that a more affluent neighborhood (Berkley) has just gone through this process. We're hoping that because we are developing in an "Underserved" area that we will still get the same fair treatment.
TIMELINE:
Our building opens in April of 2023 and we must get this resolved to ensure the longevity of our community center and the investment so many of us small business owners have made into the local economy. Please help!
