Okay… First and foremost, PLEASE NOTE: This is only the first step of a two step process, to approve the rezoning application request or to deny it. The final vote / decision will rest with the Orange County Board of County Commissioners whose vote, at present, is now scheduled for June 6th. I will provide another update with further details as that date gets closer.

Now the good stuff. THE FIRST STEP WENT AMAZINGLY WELL!

The results of tonight’s Planning Board of Commissioners vote was finalized earlier this evening. Here are the results:

Commissioners in favor of the Applicant’s rezoning request = 3

Commissioners in opposition to the Applicant’s rezoning request = 7

I couldn’t be more appreciative of all you for your support! Collectively, we proved to be the “village” that it takes help guide Hillsborough to a path of thoughtful growth which is affordable.
