🇬🇧 STOP THIS HMO IN PRESTWICH – PROTECT OUR JEWISH COMMUNITY

A house on Kings Road in Prestwich (M25) is being renovated and turned into a 5-bedroom HMO for illegal immigrants.

This is not a small change. A 5-bedroom house can easily hold 10 or more people if rooms are shared. This is happening in the heart of Prestwich’s Jewish community – one of the strongest and most established Jewish areas in the North of England.

Families have lived here for generations. Synagogues, Jewish schools, kosher shops and community life form the backbone of this neighbourhood. People chose Prestwich because it feels safe, familiar and cohesive.

Now a large residential house is being converted into an HMO to house illegal immigrants right in the middle of our community, while local British and Jewish families struggle with housing shortages, high rents and the cost of living.

This is wrong.

We demand:

• Immediate stop to this house being used as an HMO for illegal immigrants  
• Full transparency about who is converting it and for what purpose  
• Protection of Prestwich’s Jewish community character and cohesion  
• Local families and British residents prioritised for housing  
• Bury Council and the Home Office to listen to local people before any further changes  

British communities should not have large HMOs for illegal immigrants forced into the middle of tight-knit neighbourhoods without proper consultation. Jewish residents in Prestwich have every right to protect the place they call home.

This petition will not sit quietly online.

When we reach:

1,000 signatures → We begin contacting local councillors, the MP and Bury Council  
5,000 signatures → We escalate to the Home Office, media and community organisations  
10,000+ signatures → We demand public answers and maximum pressure
