We need to protect Mount Banahaw — a sacred mountain, a biodiversity hotspot, and a vital water source for our communities.

The proposed 247 MW Banahaw Wind Power Project threatens not only the ecological balance of the mountain, but also the culture, heritage, and daily lives of the people of Tayabas, Lucban, Dolores, and surrounding areas in Quezon Province.

Mount Banahaw is more than just land — it is a protected area, a home to rare species, and a spiritual sanctuary for generations. Allowing this project to push through without genuine community consultation and full environmental accountability will put both nature and future generations at risk.

We believe in intergenerational equity — that we have a responsibility to protect this mountain, not just for ourselves, but for our children and their children.

 We call on the Environmental Management Bureau – CALABARZON and all concerned agencies to reject the Banahaw Wind Power Project and prioritize sustainable, community-centered solutions that do not endanger our sacred mountain.
