As a student with a 4.0 GPA, I find it disturbing that my teacher allows another student to pursue sexual relations with me outside of school. This student then becomes aggressive in class when I block her from contacting me and ask my teacher to intervene. Why is a 43-year-old woman with kids interested in getting close to someone half her age? It feels like the teacher is complicit because they aren't taking action.

This situation is extremely personal to me as a young Black woman striving for an education. No one should have to endure discomfort or harassment, especially not from someone significantly older who should know better. It's time for schools to take these issues seriously and protect students' well-being.
