As a Native American witnessing the crippling cycle of socio-economic disadvantages within the indigenous community, I am determined to ignite a transformation and bring justice for the Native people. My passion stems from our dark shared history where every peace deal and trade agreement made with the indigenous tribes was unjustly broken by the US government, leading to unfathomable atrocities.

The US Constitution, the keystone of our nation's laws, clearly states that Native Americans shall not be taxed. Yet, this key tenet appears to have been conveniently forgotten, and overruled, forming yet another broken promise to the indigenous communities. 

In the light of these historical injustices, it’s time we call upon the US government to rectify this oversight and enforce the constitutional right of Native Americans to be exempt from all forms of taxation. Not only will this help repair historic economic injustices that many Native American communities have been forced to endure, but it will also provide them an opportunity to realize financial stability and progression. This action embodies the essence of reparative justice and has the potential to change the trajectory of indigenous communities across America.
