Who is impacted?

          Drug addiction not only affects the user, it affects their friends, families, coworkers, and anyone else they associate with. It breaks bonds between the user and their loved ones, which makes it even harder for the user to seek out help. Also past drug users can give the addiction through their genetics to their kids and grand kids.

 

 

 

 

What is at stake?

If things stay the same it can affect home life and friends Early childhood experiences with substances can start and influence addictive behavior. It will start to be challenging to avoid these substances especially if the people you're hanging out with rely on these activities. It can also affect trauma which will stay with you your whole life. If things change then people who do these substances can be helped and treated, and people who have not started can be saved from bonds being affected and trauma throughout their life.

 

 

 

Why is it now time to act?

     Now is the time to act because early teens are starting to mostly take substances. If we act now, we can prevent even more teens from being affected. If less teens are taking drugs and vaping, it will cause less spreading of substances and less families to be affected by them. Young teens and adults will experience less health problems and emotional problems and will all around have a better life.
