We have emailed twice in the last several weeks & haven't received a response. 

In April 2025 these are the questions I asked the town, they mayor, etc.  They did not respond. 

"I'd like to know if a floodplain study has been performed, and if so, has it been submitted to the MDE & Army Corps of Engineers? Additionally, what wetland mitigation efforts are being proposed and where?  Is there a fee in lieu being proposed for said mitigation?"

I did speak with someone from one of the companies being used by the developer, and these things have not been done.  There are natural springs running through the land they plan to build on, but the person I spoke to knew nothing about this. I was told they are planning to build ponds to control water during construction, but no wetland mitigation.  Since there was no floodplain study or wetland mitigation, they did not involve the Army Corps of Engineers.  I believe the State of MD has to approve these things, but if the company I spoke to knew nothing about the flooding issues in the past, I don't know what the state is aware of.
