SHEIN is a very problematic company, but recently is has become very trendy and lots of people are ignoring its problems. Together we can help open the world's eyes to its problems.

SHEIN's clothes are very low quality are are not made to last. They also make clothing that goes with the trends at the time, so when something is no longer trendy, it is no longer used. These factors lead to lots of clothing being thrown into landfills. Their pieces are made with fabrics like polyester and nylon, which do not decay well. Overall they are worsening the issue of a global rise in textile waste. 

SHEIN also frequently steals ideas and art from smaller artists. They take small artists designs and claim it as their own so they that can make more of a profit. This leads to people buying the cheaper version on SHEIN and the artist makes no income from their own idea. 

SHEIN has also refuses to come clean about their process and does not reveal what their supply chain looks like. This leads people to believe that the rumors about child labor and exploitation are true. Some employees at SHEIN work 75 hour work weeks which is 35 more hours than Chinas recommended work week of 40 hours per week. The employees are not even paid overtime.
